This is my submission for LSC164. Sherry had us make a card at least 8" tall and 4" wide, which is exactly what this measures. Additionally we were to watch the layers and keep the embellishments minimal, and no dp.
My Dolly Mama was the perfect choice for this shape card. I stamped in black, colored with Prisma pencils and blended with gamsol. I colored in the polka dots with a black marker.
The Belt buckle is a punch, and Dolly realizes it is too small, but she believes in cinching it in!
This card's colors were screaming for layers but in keeping with the challenge, I just did the black frame and a touch of cool caribbean which I ran through the bug.
Her earrings and necklace are embossed in gold... sorry the picture doesn't show that.
I spent yesterday gardening, and this morning I WISH I could remove an arm at the shoulder! Can anyone else identify with this Dolly Mama?
OH.... for all you young ones out there who didn't remember Anne Ryan's "SHOE CLIPS", take a look! They came in buckles, flowers etc. and could be clipped on a shoe or removed, according to your mood. Dolly is feeling right festive today!
Enjoy! Thanks for looking!
