This is my card for March's Dirty Dozen/Alumni Challenge!
We were to make a card using a stamp set that we haven't used for a while...but is still one of our favorites. For the restricted element...we couldn't use a stamp set/supplies that were purchased less than six months ago and to use embellishments that we haven't used for a while. I chose colors that I truly haven't used for a while...but used to just love (Blush Blossom, Mellow Moss, Buckaroo Blue).
I chose Abundant Joy as my set....even though it is now retired, I will never part with it! I absolutely love it! I used En Francais in place of French Script (one of the first background stamps I got..but sold it when I got this new one). I did use the Sanded background stamp...but I got that as soon as it came out (seven month ago).
As a bonus challenge, we were to use a technique that we haven't used in a while but used to be one of our favorites. I used to make little cards within a card all the time but haven't done it in a while. Each of these flowers opens up to reveal a message inside.
These little 'mini cards' or tags also qualify for today's Ways to Use it Challenge.
