The Midwest has been hit heavily this winter with some severe weather, and my friend Sydney has been working on fixing up a house and moving in the midst of it. And since she begins every note to me with *Peace and a Hug*, it made me think of using this stamp set for a card for her.
Today's Technique Challenge is *Debossing Vellum*. I stamped the *Peace* stamp using a combination of different blues and purple craft spots, and embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. I then turned it over and debossed the image, including the text (*Silent, soft and slow descends the snow.* Longfellow)
The vellum is mounted to a small piece of glossy CS sponged with the same colors of reinkers. The background panel is brilliant blue, stamped with the bg stamp, Sanded, embossed in navy blue and II EP, sprayed lightly with glue and dusted with DD glitter. I've used narrow organdy ribbon, silver cord, and 2 large snowflake charms adhered with brads, dotted with Swarovski crystals. The partially hidden white snowflake is punched from WW CS.
I had fun with this- lots of glitz and sparkle which shows up better IRL. Thanks for looking!

Fantastic card, Maddy! Your friend is going to love it! The rich colored bg really makes the vellum *pop*. You sure know how to *put 'em together*. Fantastic!

Beautiful use of this technique, Maddy! Nice touches with those gorgeous snowflake brads. Love the different way you used the Sanded background too. This must be one sparkling beauty IRL! I've been loving the beautiful snow around here. TFS. Linda
