IÂ’m trying to use up some neglected images from the scrap box and found this piece that I have no idea why I started and never finished. I also by accident created that crescent moon with the Cuttlebug die cut Snowflakes II and saved for a night scene. So I paired them up and like the end results.
-I first masked off the snow using post it notes. I’m the only person in the world that got excited to get post it notes for Christmas three years ago – just for stamping!
-The sky is two colors sponged on the cardstock starting with the lightest/lower color first then the darker and sponging more towards the top of the scene.
-The snow is sponged on with grey to tone down the white for a night scene and slightly darker in the distance.
-The moon came about this way: when I have a limited supply of paper such as recycling a greeting card IÂ’ll first punch a circle from the cardstock then place it on the die cut and run it through. The die cut just happened to be a circle with a design inside; the punch out was positioned a bit close to the edge of the circle die cut which created a perfect crescent moon and a new idea was accidently developed! The moon is tacky glued to the card.
-The stars were added with white ink and a period I saved from a sentiment I didnÂ’t like that was a hand me down. Everything has a use if you think about it long enough!
