The challenge is to use StazOn ink. Jet Black is my main source of black ink and to take it a step further than my normal every use I used it on vellum. This vellum has a texture to it and it worked well with the wood grain.
-The wood grain image is stamped on light beige cardstock and distressed with ink. Ink distressing of the same color is also done on the card base and image panel; both are on white cardstock.
-The hinge is one image cut in half. It was heat embossed with black; double coat. I punched the holes that appear in the image with 1/16” punch and then punch metallic silver and glued them in the holes. Using a straight pen and tacky glue makes a very quick process.
-Machine stitching is done on the vellum and I went around it three times and purposely did curvy linesÂ…I really can sew a straight line but that would be boring!
-Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits are used to color the image.
