Do you remember that commercial where the Dad is skipping through the office supply store, joyously tossing school supplies into his cart while "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" plays in the background?! Well, that's kind of how I'm feeling today -- my oldest is back in school after a long, long summer! Don't get me wrong, I love my boy dearly, but both of us do better with the normal routine that school provides. So, in addition to fulfilling this week's sketch challenge and the Ways to Use It Challenge (126 - Pinned), I made this card to celebrate!
Teachabella and her desk are colored with SU markers. The chalkboard was colored with a black Prismacolor pencil then blended with odorless mineral spirits and a blending stump. I masked the image and then stamped the oval in Wild Wasabi. Next, the background was sponged in So Saffron. The image panel is popped up on 3-D dots.
Happy 1st Day of School, everyone!

OK Carole, I am so with you on this one! I love my kids, but celebrate when they return to school and routine. Unfortunately it's not til after labor day in Michigan. Your card is fabulous, I hope you have somebody special to give it to that will appreciate it.
