It was one year ago today that our precious golden retriever puppy, Winter, lost her battle with a rare and aggressive cancer that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. She was just 14 months old.
Winter joined our family in the midst of a fierce January blizzard, and she loved the snow, hence her name. But in the summer, she also enjoyed chomping on the flowers in my garden. I made this piece to honor her memory. She was deeply loved and is sorely missed.
The large sculpted rose is cut out of 6 layers. The little pink rosebud is a real dried rose, embedded in a thick layer of Glassy Glaze over the sentiment which reads, *Memory is the power to gather roses in winter.* The golden retriever head and the small roses are Polyshrink. Everything is popped up on Dimensionals. The layout is for the Sketch Challege 108.
Meadowpond MyTGold Winter Moon, *Winter*, R.I.P.
Thanks for looking.

Maddy-this card is such a beautiful tribute to Winter. You are so talented and what a wonderful way to share your talent and memory of Winter! I love the shadow box effect and the fantastic rose! Colleen
This is a beautiful card dedicated to a sweet and wonderful puppy.
I know how much you miss Winter and this card can help Winter live on in your memory where she will never leave you. Winter is giving you a big doggy smile from doggy heaven for making this loving tribute for her.

What a lovely tribute to your beloved Winter, Maddy. The sentiments are perfect and the rose bud inside the shadow box window is a wonderful touch, and that layered, sculpted rose is so gorgeous. I love the polyshrink roses and how you used the gold thread too. This card expresses so well the layers and dimension of your love for Winter, always. Thank you for sharing this with us. Linda

That's a beautiful card to commemorate a beautiful life.
Our time on this earth is always too short, so we must treasure the moments we share with those we love.
I really like the card mom. Winter was a wonderful dog and we all miss her.
