My first attempt at creativity after neglecting my stamps for a while! This was for my mom's birthday... happy birthday, Mom!
The background was stamped, crumpled, sponged, and direct-to-papered. The foreground is an old picture found at a flea market (Canton... how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...). I put photo corners on the card, then stamped the trees on a window sheet and attached that to the photo corners with brads. The words were embossed on sticky strip using UTEE and gold EP. Then I antiqued the brads and the words by sponging with Staz On.
The design turned out nothing like I intended, of course! I have several more old pics and will be trying to design around them as well to make a series of cards using photos.

This is a fantastic project and I love the way it turned out. At first I thought the trees were stamped directly on the photo. Nice surprise when I read the instructions. I might just go take some photos of my area and print them in Sepia tone so I can duplicate this effect. Thanks so much for sharing this. I'm not sure I would have thought of this in one million years!
