This is for today's inspiration challenge. When I saw those gorgeous, bright leather luggage tags, it instantly reminded me that I need tags for a tag swap this coming Friday -- YIKES!!! Sooooo, had it been a different time of year, I would definintely have gone with the brighter colors and the leather, but, since I needed Holiday tags, I went with pine boughs and cones and I decided to do the *faux wood* for the b/g. That was a challenge earlier this week and it sure is a fun one -- if you haven't tried it, you MUST!!!
This is a tag within a tag, like a pocket card, only a pocket tag. The larger, outer tag is 3 1/2 x 5 and the smaller tag is 3 1/4 x 2 1/4. The large tab on the larger tag was made just with a strip of paper and the ends were shaped with the corner rounder. The pine boughs and cones are white embossed. The pine cone is then colored with a gray marker in the in-between spaces.
This will not be my swap tag, but at least it got me thinking in that direction -- thanks for this fun challenge!!!

Beautiful, Sharon! This feel of this is frosty and cool, but cozy and inviting at the same time--something about the white pine boughs on the wood grain, like the side of a house--cold outside, toasty and sheltered inside. I love the torn, curled edge and the blue Flannel. So pretty and all wrapped up with that gorgeous ribbon!
