Something quick enough and easy enough to manage after work ;-). My sister's last dog (some might remember I made her a black lab Christmas card, when we didn't even know if she'd still have a dog then) went on her last visit to the vet this week. I like the idea of cutting something along the edge of the upper die and will try this during the week, but for this I wanted a heart. And racked my brains trying to think of where I had a small heart die, because punches weren't going to work.
The medallion background was on my desk from a collage card I am still working on. I'd had excess ink on it from a gel print, and rather than discard it, I stamped it on a spare piece of card. Stamped and embossed the sentiment (What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Helen Keller).
Added a border cut from a piece of Brusho background and popped my dog up on black foam tape.
