The Mixed Media Video Addicts are doing altered playing cards for their current challenge (MMJ03) and watching these videos:
I have never made an altered playing card so this was pretty fun for me. I am also a big Alice theme fan so I ordered the napkins in one of the videos. I made the cards over the course of the last week. Then, I was stuck. What do I do with them? What kind of card they would go on?
Then the IC challenge came up (Hygge &West) and I found this Foret (Plum) Notebook:
It gave me an idea of how I could put the cards in my journal. I found a fun Alice Post Card in my Stamperia Alice Paper Pack and added one of the flowers and some leaves from the pack as well.
A few butterflies and some coffee out of my cup worked perfectly for finishing it off.
I love how this came out. Thanks for the inspiration, Amy. I almost want to get some wallpaper after looking at the site, but I remember what happens when you don't want your wallpaper anymore and it was so traumatic that I couldn't even go down that road again - lol.
Can't wait to see what the other Mixed Media Video Addicts make. If you are addicted to watching videos, mixed media, and trying new things, we would love you to come play with us. This is our third challenge. Just use MMJ03 for this one when you load your creation (you can check out our other challenges in the MMJ01 and MMJ02 galleries).

WOW Nancy, I could look at this all day. So many details and the vintage feel is perfect. It's like a visual puzzle. I couldn't make this is a million years. You go girl!! This is right up your alley. Maybe I'll spill some coffee on one of my cards - don't see it happening, but it just might.

Nancy, I didn’t think to put my playing card in my art journal until I saw your entry. This is fabulous! I have never considered doing an art journal, so I ran out and bought one, and I am loving working in it. Love this!

This is Sooooo Adorable!! just lovely in everyway. I am marking it a fav so that i come back to this inspiration when i get time to journal again. I was probably off-base a little in my interpretation, but DH 'pandemic cleaned' out kitchen cupboard and tossed all the old decks of cards out, so i was a little up the creek, when i got started and thought i had a plan.
THanks for sharing and inspiring. Take good care, Teresa
