These were fun to make. Both backgrounds were made several weeks ago, there are a few cards in my gallery that look like this now.
I figure if you're going to get messy - then do it in bulk! I squirted blue and green Dylusions ink spray on to aluminium foil (smooth foil, not crumpled), squirt on stacks of water then dunk the card in.
Once the card was reasonably dry, smack similar coloured distress ink pads on to the same piece of alfoil, squirt on plenty more water then dunk the area of cardstock where you need more colour, in the inky puddle again. Dylusions can be a bit too intense for a second dunking, that's why I switched to Distress inks to colour up the bald bits.
I think I got 3 or 4 A4 pages done at the same time. Be careful with the Dylusions ink as it can be lethal, especially when the nozzle is slightly blocked - it squirts out like a fire hose!
The cute little birds (RAK from my Aussie mate Helen) and the big birds are coloured with Copic markers and a white Posca paint pen.
Their hats and snow ski are from 2 different Sassy Cheryl digi images. The hats, (coloured with a Sharpie) are from an Elf image and the ski is from a snowman image.
Liquid pearls, dotty tree stamping and a doodled border were added before fussy cutting the birds and sticking in place.
Thanks very much for looking.
