Funny how things work in this hobby we love - you start out in one direction and sometimes you end up miles from where you expected - and are thrilled just the same.
Have been struggling to use one of the bigger butterfly dies I got from SU (will have to check the Gallery for inspiration). So I started assembling this card thinking that it would look lovely in gold in the center, with the black textured c/s behind it. Well, in my mind, it was GORGEOUS. IRL...ummm, not so much. Was all ready to set the whole thing aside for another day when I decided to go roaming through the land of abandoned die cut words - maybe a "love" would be good. And, as I was wandering through this magical land, I came across a snowflake in a circle die left over from a Christmas card a few years back. It wasn't the right color, but, hmmmm...POSSIBILITIES! Found a scrap of red glitter cardstock and some Bazzill diamond and gold mirror c/s scraps and die cut myself a snowflake and some circles.
Voila! Suddenly it was clear - the card wanted to be an elegant Christmas card. And, who am I to argue?
Hope you like how it came out as much as I do!
