Hello, sweet friends! Well, many of you have been busy this week with Dare To Get Dirty! Wow, what amazing cards I've seen, and what fun! Here is the newest remixed digital release from Power Poppy, and I decided to keep this CAS. I wish my photograph were better, because the apples have a lot more contrast and lighter color for shading. Must be the red. Anyway, I had fun coloring, which is the best part. Deciding what layout to use and putting it together -- another whole thing - haha! I can't tell you how much I struggle with layouts! I added my sentiment with my MISTI, used a stitched die, matted it, and then added some perle cotton with a button. I did pop it up using 3M dimensionals, and oh what fun when I didn't have it straight. Have you ever tried to pull that stuff off a card? LOL! But it was fine once I used another card base. All's well that ends well, they say!
Because this is going to a special friend, I decided to use it for this week's CAS challenge - to make a card for a friend.
I really did enjoy coloring these apples because they reminded me of when I was younger and would go with my grandma to a local apple orchard for apples. The orchard was widely known for its delicious apples, and they had a shop where you could order fresh apple pies and even order a slice to eat there -- with vanilla ice cream on top. Oooh, was it delicious! And the apples were thinly sliced, tender, and had lots of cinnamon. The deep-dish pies had cinnamon sugar on top of an amazing flaky crust. Oh my, what precious memories.
I sure hope to find some time this weekend to check out more cards in the DTGD gallery, and I hope all our amazing Fan Club members have had lots of fun this week. And I can hardly wait to see how many DTGD queens we will have as they race to finish all the challenges! How exciting!
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Big hugs, sweet friends!

YUMMY Cheryl! Your apples look like I could reach out and touch them. Your coloring is superb as always and I love your button treatment. I'm going to have to get my buttons back out. Have tons of them and everything else too - SHOCKER! Thanks for your kind comments on my cards. It really means a lot to me. You must be the nicest and most talented stampers on SCS! Off to look at a few more of your cards. Thanks for remembering me!

Perfection, Cheryl, and how wonderful to make a card that gives you so many wonderful memories. I really like how you added the twine/button. I see why this card went to the favorites so many times.

Wonderful card - won't be long before the apple blossoms are out here - I can see buds on my two little trees. I never seem to get an apple though - those pesky rosellas always get to them - just as they are ready to pick! Then again - I don't mind sharing with them - our little feathered friends need treats too. Love the red and white theme of this card and as always - beautifully coloured.

Dear sweet Cheryl, beautiful card and realistic coloring! I'm envious of your skills and eye for color and arrangement!
Based on your childhood memory (loved it BTW!), I now want apple pie a'la mode!!!
TFS all the wonderful details!
