I made my first altered book in April, here it is F4A322 Heaven for Dolly by f.schles at Splitcoaststampers and enjoyed making it so much that I decided to make another. For the CTO616 to use angles, there are angles in the corners. The steps down to the sand are at an angle and the boat on the sand is angled in the opposite direction. It is pretty easy to see that it is a beach scene for the F4A332. The background is one part of a scene stamp. The steps are part of another stamp, and the boat is fussy cut from a third stamp. I mixed real sand with modeling paste to make the sandy area. I used the faux wood technique to cover the front of the book. When I was thinking of what to make for the beach theme I was planning to make someone reading at the beach...instead I put the beach inside of the book. As usual, I got a little carried away. I so want to come watch you do one! I love this - it is so darn cool! Can you point me in the direction to even start learning how to do one of these? The frame is so great, I am love with your beach, and the colors are amazing. I am so impressed. Into my faves of course. Hugz

Wow, Francie! At first glance I thought this was just an amazing card, but seeing how you've altered a book got this project nearly leaves me speechless! I love the way your little girl standing on the frame looks just about to step into the picture! Amazing art piece!

Wow, is this ever beachy or what! Your clouds are so dramatic...looks like a storm brewing and the sailboat is drifting pretty fast! Love the 3-D effect~

Wow, wow, wow, Francie!! This truly is a spectacular piece of art!! I love everything about it. It's so cool how you created the sand. All of the many pieces of the image are absolutely outstanding. As soon as I saw this, I fav'd it without seeing who created the masterpiece or reading the description. I love, love the little girl. Wow, how very inspiring, Francie!
