Hi, sweet friends! Big News - I got to take the Copic classes with Debbie Olson this last weekend - a Christmas gift from my DH! It was a real stretch for me health-wise with the rigorous schedule, but he was so wonderful with making me meals and just being there with me. He knew I've always wanted to take the classes AND to meet Debbie Olson. She is so sweet and is a gifted teacher with an amazing art education and background in graphic design. After the classes, I felt more comfortable using the X-Press It Blending Card and used it for this newest digital remixed image by Power Poppy. The paper is wonderful for blending colors, and the alcohol ink stays wet longer on it. I decided to use a new die from Frantic Stamper and adhere the white outer "frame" portion onto some of PTI's Soft Stone. It still needed something more, so I freehand pierced around the focal image.
I sort of felt like I needed Susie with me last night as I was trying to glue together two layers of the outer frame using some Glue n' Seal. My hands were covered with glue, and then I couldn't get them off the plastic sheet (some of the frame was stuck on the plastic - yuck!). So after cleaning that mess up, my DH suggested using 3M adhesive spray. We went out to the garage, and he gave me rubber gloves to wear as I held the frame over a piece of cardboard and I turned my head and held my breath. Then I had to quickly walk over to where the card stock was to "flip" the frame over onto the paper being careful not to miss it. (He said that once it's down, it's stuck.) Then I had to take off the gloves inside out and use them to press it all down. And that is just a little of what Susie deals with for each card. Wow, sis, you are my hero, and I am in awe of your artistry!! (As Nancy Stizlow can attest to, I'm not used to messy stamping techniques!)
Anyway, thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great weekend! Stop by my blog for more details. Hugs!
