For Lisa's WTUI challenge this week ~WT548 Coffee or Tea, which do you drink? . I drink both pretty equally; we start the day with coffee, and unless DH is late home, we have some when he gets home from work. We have tea after dinner, sometimes I have it with my lunch. When I was growing up, the first sounds of the morning were the coffee grinder, and then the gurgle of the coffee pot on the stove. Our standard childhood picnic was link sausages cooked on a camping stove and sandwiched with buttered white bread... followed by coffee for the the grown-ups also made on the camping stove.
It's also for Lois's challenge to the CCEE Stampers. This week she has asked us to share a technique. I chose the bandanna technique - here's a link to the TLC where I first learned it; it's a technique I still use at least a couple of times a year.
Normally I stamp a background with smaller stamps, this time I stamped a big paisley backgrounder onto some DP and then did my stuff with a white gel pen.
Chalkboard and cafe-style seemed to work together well! Here's a link to an old blog post I have with a fun chalkboard outside a restaurant near work (last two photos in post). I used the coffee cup from Pun Fun and handwrote the sentiment - chalkboard was perfect for that too! I made a faux wood background for it, with a brad in each corner and a black flourish. Finished the card off with a black die-cut border at the top and bottom.
