I have wanted to honor Francie for so long and finally did! This is a direct case of Francie's infamous aspen trees and I pretty much followed her description. I wanted to do this in winter colors but after seeing her vibrant colors, it fell flat. So I went for fun and colorful changing my colors just a bit, changed the matting and added the Joy inlay. I colored the trees like Francie did using warm grays. I bow to you Francie, for doing this! It took forever to get some shading on those trees (grin). I did have fun doing it though and look forward to doing more of these. Thank you for stopping by.
I neglected to include the link to Francie's card. Here it is Plain Old Trees. Nothing about her cards is plain or old!

Oh, Nancy! I agree with Susie! This is gorgeous, and I'm so excited to see a new card from you!! The colors are amazing, and your depth is stunning. And how cool is that "joy" popping out of the card? Totally love it, my friend! Hugs! (P. S. And how precious that you honored sweet Francie! She's a sweetie and so talented!)

WOW! You did an amazing job of CASEing Francie's beautiful card! Your colors are so vibrant - something I really admire about Francie's cards and am trying to replicate. These trees look so realistic. What a gorgeous card!

Ditto all those words from Susie. I feel like I repeat myself so much when I comment, but your cards are just so beautiful! The shading on the trees is just like the real thing! And your color choices- wow!
