I used the Faux Stamped Leather tutorial for this. Only I used a stencil instead of stamping - I saw in the Technique Spotlight gallery that Dina had made a card using a stencil, and it suited this card. So instead of stamping, I sponged with Walnut Stain through the stencil onto kraft, and then followed the tutorial.
The singing owl and tree trunk are from TCP stamped with masking, and sponged while in the die.
I added a sentiment tag, and since I was adding a gold star to that, I added a few in the background as well. It's layered onto kraft with a couple of score lines and sponged edges.

This is so fun! Love the tooled leather background you made combining techniques . It looks like real leather. The little singing owl is so sweet framed by that stunning sunset background, and those stars are the perfect finish this nighttime serenade. Awesome card!
