MIX117 = fire. I used a butane candle lighter on my organza ribbon....at a HEALTHY distance before I was labeled the "Neighborhood Arsonist".
QFTD259 = Ann( annsforte3) I was inspired by this card of Ann's since I have the same image. Hers is more elaborate than mine and monochromatic which mine is not. Ann has a lovely gallery and is one of the kind cardmakers who leaves many thoughtful and encouraging comments for others.
A BIG congrats, Ann......enjoy your special week.

your crinkled ribbon is so cool... I would have burnt my fingernails doing that one. ( didyaknowfingernailscanburn?) they can. ( but, its usually heat embossing I have to watch out for)
Gorgeous poppies, Sallie! I love the larger gingham and heated ribbon! So glad you didn't burn your house down--I remember *way back* when one of the challenges was to burn the edges of the paper to give it a neat look--I was terrified of catching something on fire that I didn't mean to! I use my heat gun on ribbon.

Such a cheerful card, Sallie. Beautifully designed and executed. I love the sheer heated ribbon... the heat gives it a wonderful crinkled look. I have turned plenty of ribbons into hard little melted globs. It's amazing how fast "slightly crinkled" turns into "melted fisaster".
