This card is actually quite beautiful in real life, but I just had to settle for this muddy picture. I feel like I have spent the afternoon trying to take a good photo of it, and I finally had to surrender and accept this muddy one.

This is beautiful!!! I have always loved white on white. And the chiaroscuro is perfect! That is a word I learned about 53 years ago from my high school art teacher. He told us, "Class, today I'm going to tell you a word that will impress people and make them think you really know what you're talking about in the art world. It's 'chiaroscuro'." I've finally been able to use that word! It has to do with the contrast between light and dark. And this is a good example with the shadowing...I think, anyway. Thank you for this experience. And thank you Mr. Whatever Your Name Was for allowing me to impress someone.
