Faith has given us a fun challenge to end the year with......and ALL the words to Auld Lang Syne...who knew all those extra words existed???
Nothing has changed with me, I still don't read challenges properly - all that my scrambled brain took in was "friends and party hats". I didn't take in the lovely options of sharing coffee, running on the slopes or paddling in a stream. Instead we had a few Teapotters, rolling on the couch laughing and bringing in the new year, even Rover is joining in the fun.
The girls are wearing their very best PJ's along with colour-coordinated party hats!! Rover (RAK from our Stamperrobin) is an Ai stamp, complete with party hat. I made a template of his hat and traced around it and made hats for the girls. This is a centre step card, with the centre stepped back instead of the sides. The picture frames were made with circle punches and acetate.
I hope you all had a happy Christmas. Now for the worst part...putting away all the decorations and tree. I discovered a really quick way to bring down the tree, literally!!! I was vaccuming near the tree yesterday and without noticing I sucked up a bit of tinsel, I just thought the cord was wrapped around the leg of the couch, so I gave it a big yank and the whole tree (all 7 foot of it) fell over. In a panic I quickly pushed the off button on the vac....turns out it wasn't the off button, but the cord retractor button and before I knew what was happening, I got wacked in the face with plug from the flying cord, tripped on the tree and landed face first amoungst the branches.
No real damage done and it could have been a lot worse. It was an artificial tree, last year we had a real tree....could you image the water in the bucket spilling all over the floor - I might have electrocuted myself LOL.
Happy New Year and thank you so much for looking.

All the best in the New Year...

While I laughed at your vacuum story, I know how dangerous they can be. We'd been married 6 months when I had an accident vacuuming; ruptured 2 discs had surgery and spent 7 weeks in the hospital. Those things are dangerous. Every cloud has a silver lining - DH has done the vacuuming ever since! I'm so glad you weren't hurt! I just love your people cards - always so interesting and fun taking it all in.

You episode taking down Christmas sounds like it was definitely not a good day - but I hope it is like one of our Ice cream commercials where the man has several episodes through his day and he ends it with some ice cream. When asked how his day was he says "It turned out all right". So maybe you just needed ice cream. Glad you weren't seriously hurt.
Your card is just adorable! These stamps remind me so much of friends of mine and the girls days and girls nights we have! Love the coloring of the Pajamas with the matching hats. The step card was the perfect way to shocase this group of frolickers!
