THIS right here, is a card made under pressure. We have been in the process of fixing our house up to sell it (much to my sadness) because we are planning on buying a house with my mom, and one she can navigate better in. Our house is a 100 year old house with a front porch, the high ceilings, oak trim, very old fashioned and full of charm and character. This past weekend, while my turn to be hostess, I had very little time to come up with my card and color scheme. I stayed up very late one night coming up with this card, and I wasn't all that thrilled with it but it was really really late, and I decided okay, this is it, I had it down to 3 different cards as possibilities and I decided in the interest of TIME I had to stop stamping and get working on the house again. So this card is far from my favorite ever, but it is what it is, and that's it. The work on the house got done, and we just got finished sitting down with the realtor and listing it, and I feel very melancholy. I need to remind myself that if we move I will love another place as well. I know I will, but when we walk into something new, it's almost always accompanied by leaving something old behind. Bittersweet. Who knows? Maybe it won't sell? God is in control and I rest in that. Sorry for the blab. Just a night of mixed emotions. Happy Tuesday everyone!

This card is amazing, Karen! Even under time constraints, you've turned out such a gorgeous card!! I'm sorry for the circumstances (having to sell your house) but have faith it will all work out as it is supposed to :-) Hugs to you!

Taking a self-imposed break and finally catching up with everyone else's work and I want you to know that I WANT THIS CARD!!!!! This is not only fun and very sweet, you are one of the few who can actually 'speak' with your color!!! I don't know how you manage to give each color its independence and allow it to be a complete focal point and then have them blend together, but whatever magic you possess is working!!! I love this card!!!

Oh gosh, Karen. I'm sorry your heart is troubled with listing your house for sale. I completely understand that ... so many awesome memories. But the wonderful thing is that our memories travel along with us, and new memories are always waiting up ahead. And this glitzy creation?! It's a frosty wonderland and just perfect for a stroll with your favorite wintery friends!
