Vicki is our Color Challenge hostess this week, and she gave us some beautiful colors, and a really challenging—for me—dessert option. The colors are Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I decided to go all in, and, with fear and trepidation, I got out my reinkers and tried watercoloring with them and an AquaPainter. I know there's lots of room for improvement, but I have to say I am pleased, and more than a little amazed, at the results. I like using hot press watercolor paper, because it is very smooth, although not quite as absorbent as cold press watercolor paper.
Vicki, thanks so much for stretching my horizons with these colors and dessert option. I think this is the first time I've done this method of watercoloring. It was fun to pull out this old SU set, which is one of my all-time favorites!

Most wonderful water coloring. This is one of my all time favorite images too, and you used it so fantastically with these beautiful summer beach colors.

Wowzers! Your clouds and water look so intriguing, Barbara! I say you need to be s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d more often if it means achieving results like this! Beautiful~
