This is my second project for IC407 and Eastern Accents is our inspiration site today. I was so inspired by the whole Coastal Tidings Collection Holiday section found here: http://holiday.easternaccents.com/co...IDCategory=795
I loved the soft blue of the shells and wanted to create a monochromatic scene that would reflect the bitter cold weather on the north eastern coast line in winter. I visited Cape Hatteras, NC in November one year and there was snow on the dunes and the wind was bitter and cold but it was so beautiful. I created a frame that was sponged with bordering blue ink and then white washed with picket fence distress paint. I really love how this turned out.

Kittie, this is absolutely stunning! Love the soft blues and the "feel" of this work. Beautiful my friend.

This card is spectacular! I was looking for a sea card and stumbled on this one. You are truly an artist, Kittie. Thank you for sharing your work so generously.
