Fabulous site! I was inspired by Chickadee Bowl. I just love those sweet little birds!
The images are a mix of new and old from Our Daily Bread designs. After stamping the ornament and chickadee, I die cut the ornament w/ a circle die and the backing gold layer w/ a larger circle. I used the matching die for the chickadee (such a fabulous time saver!) and added a little color w/ copics. The pine branches were fussy cut.
Originally, I had a separate background using the music background, but it just didn't work so instead I stamped it w/ gold ink directly on the white card front. I thought I still needed a little separation between the main images and background, so I die cut a pine green frame and added a little texture. I just happened to have the red ring (from another project) and it was the right size so I added it inside the frame edge. Instead of adding another layer, I sponged the gold ink around the edges of the card front. A little gold bow w/ some added pine branch cut outs on top finished my 4.25 x 5.50 card.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff
