This technique is so amazing and fun - inspiration came from last week's Featured Stamper and a recent Queen - both of whom have AMAZING galleries and talent.
Our FS this week was VDM aka Vicki Mears - and I enjoyed all of her beautiful designs, but my heart skipped a beat when I saw this beauty: {VickiÂ’s Gorgeous BlowinÂ’ in the Wind Card}. I'd seen this technique before but had never tried it, so decided it was time. Thankfully I was able to find an EF that would work!
Inspiration also came from a very sweet and amazing stamper - and our QFTD from August 9th - BarbP aka Barbie aka Barb. She is such a special person who gives many of her cards away to our troops and such a sweetheart here on SCS, and when I realized I'd missed her special week it made me sad. So my apologies Barb - for being just a bit late!! Hugs my friend!
The background was created by brayering three different colors onto my EF - the three colors were More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze, lightest to darkest (brayering was done Zindorf style . Then I mounted the frame and added the butterflies, white bakers twine and sentiment.
Thank you Vicki and Barb for sharing your beautiful cards with us - it was a pleasure visiting your galleries .
This card is for a special SIL in NJ.
Thanks and Hugs Everyone,
Audrey
