This is my card for this week's sketch challenge, with which I fiddled a bit.
I had so much fun making my background. I stamped the cream panel with a background stamp (don't know whose it is), the I gold embossed it. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug using a Sissix ef. Then I sponged over the whole thing with Walnut distress ink. The gold embossing resisted the ink and of course the ink didn't go into the depressed part of the embossing, so I wound up with a cream, walnut and gold background. I really like how it turned out and will definitely be trying this again.
The bow is made from silk ribbon, the centre of the ribbon is topped with a bead cap, then topped with a half pearl.
The label is a gold embossed sentiment on cream card stock, mounted on a nestie label punched out of mirror gold card stock.
TFL!

Lots of steps to achieve your background but it really adds a lot of dimension to your creation. Great job!
