woo hoo - I finally made it to the teaparty. This week we are heading to Oregon City, Oregon to visit Alex and put smiles on her face. We were asked to bring lots of giraffes with us. Here is Mothermark's story.
I am also putting my card into this weeks colour challenge gallery. Vanilla, cherry and gumball green. Hope my colours are close enough.
I really struggled with my making my card. Not sure if I like how it has turned out, but I don't have enough energy or mojo to change it. I had this vision of the giraffes out on the African plain with a glowing red sunset set behind them. Plus I made a foliage frame around them. I made the red dotted background, hand cut out a circle mask and then placed the mask ontop of the vanilla card stock and sponged circles onto the paper. stamped the green foliage on the vanilla cs and then tore out the center to make the frame. Hand stitched around edges.
Thanks for looking-
I have another week of keeping my broken right ankle elevated and then have to have the ankle checked and another cast put on. Then 4 to 6 weeks of recovery.
Hugs.. Pat

Wow! Very, very cool elements to your card. I love the dotted red sky, the foliage and it's torn our circle. Your stitching and brad accents are very cool too!

Well, for starters, I think this card is awesome - the sunset in blazing red - the hot African sunset - and the framing of those giraffes with the torn paper - a lot of work that shows a lot of HEART!! Hope that ankle does not give you too much trouble, Ms Pat - take care of yourself!! Hugs..
