Second card for this week's color challenge (Elegant Eggplant, Concord Crush, Melon Mambo). Dessert is stripes!
Used the two purples I have (Eggplant and Perfect Plum).
I used the marker layering technique (check out the fabulous video tutorial on SCS by Karen Barber!!). Used VersaMark on the embossed background panel (at top of card) to try to achieve a dark purple - didn't really work, but still like the embossing for my card.

Loll, your coloring is just lovely on this beautiful card. I think I am going to have to break down and order that set before the mini catalog is over - I keep seeing such pretty cards made with it!

I have to admit I can't remember the last time I posted a comment to a card for the color challenge, but this is simply gorgeous. Outstanding design and beautiful blend of colors. Plus the info on your blog explaining how you used various techniques reinforces your artistic gifts. I'm planning to display this at my work area for daily inspiration. You've really brightened my day.

I've had my eye on this several times today and I'm just getting back to comment...Loll, I find purple hard to work with and yet when I look at your card, you make it look so effortless to come up with a real beauty - I love this!
