My inspiration for this year's Christmas card came from this beauty created by Shadows Mom: HYCCT1121 and QFTD83 Peace on Earth by Shadow's Mom at Splitcoaststampers
When I saw her card I knew instantly that this would be my Christmas card this year.
Here's the recipe for my version:
Base card layer: SU Not Quite Navy
Layer 2: SU Brushed Silver
Layer 3: Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium, stamped in Versamark with the blotchy leaf stamp from SU Branch Out, embossed in white, then edged by taking the SU Whisper White craft pad direct to paper.
Layer 4: SU Silver Glimmer paper die cut with Nestabilities Fleur de Lis, popped up on dimension dots
Layer 5: SU Not Quite Navy die cut with Nesties Lacy Circle, popped up on dots
Layer 6: SU Very Vanilla cut with Nestie circle die, masked for moon with 1" circle cut from thin copy paper & held down with removable tape, sponged with Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Buckaroo Blue, Basic Gray (be sure to erase any leftover adhesive after removing mask). Let dry. Then stamp trees in Basic Gray. Let dry again, and stamp trees atop previously stamped ones, this time in Versamark; sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat. Stamp sentiment in Versamark, emboss with silver EP. Apply SU bling to resemble a few stars.
Embellish card with ribbons, jingle bells, and Tim Holtz die cut deer. I cut mine from regular chipboard (hate the smell of grungeboard!); then stained the deer with Vintage Photo Distress Ink dauber; let dry; stamped with SU Jazz wheel & Versamark and embossed with silver EP. Popped up on more dimension dots.
Kind of tedious, but not really difficult to make.
