Jen gave us the theme of "Leaves" for the CAS Challenge today.
My photo is deceiving. The leaf coloring is NOT on the top of the card, but on the back partof the inside(where you might normally stamp a sentiment). I die cut the leaf shape out of the front of the card....a leaf-shaped hole. On a separate piece of paper, I used TH stains and colored a square which I adhered to the back side of the inside(again, where you might stamp a sentiment). On the outside I ran my gray Copic around some of the cut edges for shading.....I think this little detail is what is causing the optical illusion. In the photo that all came off as a popped up colored image! One has to remember, a camera is taking a 3-D object and making it a 2 dimensional one.

Funny, in the thumbnail, it looked to me as you described, then when I opened it, your card did appear to be "outside-in" of my first impression...very interesting example of perception with photography! That said Sallie, I love this! Beautiful idea, coloring and execution all around - a real CAS delight!
