Today was a national holiday in honor of the royal wedding, with many people getting the day off - I watched it together with some girlfriends - the atmosphere here was so festive today! But now onto our own royalty - what a pleasure to make a card in honor of Anne (jdmommy) who is QFTD 58 today - a big congrats to you, Anne! Anne was one of the first people at SCS to make me feel very welcome and has a huge gallery full of incredible cards - I chose this one today and added quite a few layers for today's Free for All challenge: Old, But A Gem, Nonetheless! by jdmommy at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the basic sketch but made it square and added layers behind the panels and the punched strip, and also behind the image circle.
All the edges are sponged with various inks. I added some fine glitter to the blue sea.
I used twine instead of ribbon and added a little star fish charm - this came to me as a present from Marie (momof5sons) along with this fabulous BG dp and the Seaside Sketches stamp set - thank you very much, Marie, this was so fun!
Can I just add for any of my SCS friends who have been badly affected or who have friends or family badly affected by the tornadoes, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Bridget, these colors together make ONE AMAZING CARD!! That DP you used was brought out in everything else you used on your card - the nesties, the twine, and the way you colored your image - all tie in together for such a wonderful 'look' - Fabulous card!!
