Happy New Year's Eve! Wow, 2011! Can you believe it?? I hardly ever make resolutions because if I say I'm going to do something, I'll break my back to make it happen. And I don't want to get stuck doing something I may hate in a few months.
So, there are a couple of things I figured I could do w/o putting myself in a world of hurt: 1. Have more Fun. 2. Eat more fish. (I love fish, so it should be easy. It's only hard figuring out how to cook it. So I ordered a new indoor grill. Yummy!)
Fish and Fun are 2 things I think of when I see Penguins. So there you have it! Can y'all believe we had about 3-4" of snow for Christmas here in the deep south (NE of Atlanta)? It was awesome!! A truly White Christmas!
Anyway, I started with a piece of white c/s that I brayered with a rainbow pad and only used the purple, blue and a touch of the green parts of the ink pad. After it was done, I took a water brush and smooshed the colors around to soften them a bit. The white layer was embossed with an embossing folder and I cut the inside out to make it into a frame which I attached on top of the brayered background. The images were stamped on a separate piece, colored with markers and cut out. The sledding penguins were attached directly to the background.
On a piece of acetate, I stamped the snowflakes with white Stazon then attached it to the frame with brads. The cut out sentiment was attached on top of the acetate and the finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a safe and Happy New Year's Eve. Closeups are on the DRS blog today. My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them. But you can still the post on the DRS Blog linked above.

Such an adorable stamp set and the frame was a brilliant touch! I like your resolutions too, especially having more fun (the fish - not so much ha ha!).
