what a great poem. My Mum is also 88 and just like yours she's pretty independent. She drives, lives on her own in a big house. Has no help with the garden which she loves to work on or housework which she only does when necessary. She told me at 88 all her friends' eyesight is also gone a bit so if she dims the lights a bit they can't see the dust. She's a wicked bridge player and is at every symphony and play that comes to town. I hope your Mum has a wonderful birthday and enjoys all her cards.

Your card is gorgeous, Anne, and what a wonderful ode to Evelyn!!! Wish your Mom lived near my 90 year old Mom...they could get into trouble together...LOL!!!
