HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Evelyn (jdmommy's mama) who is turning a young 88 years of age this month! Woot! You go girl! I bet the reason she stays so young is cuz Anne and her mama are very close, and, knowing how sassy Anne is, I bet they git into all kinds o' trouble when they are together. And any teapotter knows that it's the partyin' that helps keep you young, right? Woot!
Bertie kinda veered off Route 88 when she heard there was a beautiful stained glass store along the way. She figured Evelyn would love to have a stained glass window to gaze upon. Bertie also discovered that the store carres m&m cookies! Woot! So, we had to stop and pick up this beautiful stained glass window of tulips (sorry, Evelyn, they didn't have any irises), as well as m&m cookies not only for Evelyn, but for all the teapotters, too! Woot!
This card was cased after irishgreensue's pretty Awash with Flowers. Sue was selected Queen for the Day last Friday---Congratulations, Sue! Here's the card I cased:
I love the idea of the double embossing. I colored the flowers with reinkers and a watercolor brush.
ETA: I've been asked to add how I did the double embossing. Sorry I didn't explain that in the first place.
1. Stamp an outline image in versamark and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
2. Color your image with whatever medium you desire.
3. Dry emboss your cardstock with embossing folder of your choice!

Oh my, Charlene, I am glad Bertie put her foot down and veered off the road to find this treasure. What a really gorgeous card with the embossing and punching and rich colours. And cookies too - we seem to have a lot of goodies to help celebrate Evelyn's birthday this week.

Wow, Charlene, What an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING CARD!!!!!!!!!!!
You are an amazing artist to put all these gorgeous elements together so perfectly = Love that "stained glass" look EF - the tulips are colored so realistically and you REALLY ROCKED the technique I was "playing" with!! I am so honored you made this card this week, it was SO worth waiting for, just to see this great card.
Thanks for all the kind comments you leave in in all our galleries, and thanks for all the inspirations in yours! I feel so blessed!!
