I spent all day making this card for my dear husband. We have been married for 8 years tomarrow. (nothing like waiting til the last minute... lol). I got punch happy on this one. I used the Martha stewart branch punch, the SU 2 step bird punch, the modern label punch and used I heart hearts SU set. The bg is from aTim Holtz embossing folder called woodgrain. I just layed my close to cocoa and choc chip ink pads and ran down the embossed cardstock. There are so many people I kopykat'd ideas from. I can't find who came up with the chickadee's, but this card reminded me of it today: CAS71 things that fly by jaydekay at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for sharing everyone, I get so much mojo from looking at your wonderful cards.
I also used scraps for this whole card! yeah! I have a little suitcase container that is buldging with scraps, so I am constantly thinking about using them up.

Happy (belated) Anniversary! Such a wonderful card! I love the inked embossed woodgrain, the woodgrain repeated in the heart, and of course those cute little chickadees!

OOH! I love the texture you gave this card and how you made CHICKADEES! They are my favorite little birdies and I miss seeing them (and hearing them 'dee dee dee...'). I like all the punches branches for their nest too. Nice job!

Another terrific 'scenic' card! I think the woodgrain ef goes great with those chickadees. I, too, saw the chickadee thing out there somewhere, and someone has a tutorial on it. Haven't tried it yet though.
Hey, I just made a card the other day with my bird punch (first one!) and a nest. Check it out if you get a chance!
