The card size is 6.25” in width by 5” in height. I’m making cards to fit envelopes and use up those odd sizes. The card base is cut to allow the overhang of the flower when fitting in the envelope.
I was inspired by the winter scene in the upper left corner of one of the photos Stephanie has attached to the challenge and also by the large flowers on many of the art work pieces.
What a mix of art Stephanie found for us to play from, LOL, I just couldnÂ’t think of a way to work the human digestive system into my card but it was a fun site with lots of ideas to choose from!
-The flower is a retired Sizzix die cut that comes with one large, one small petal/leaf and the flower center. The creator builds the flower and I re-shaped the round center to fit my more side view flower. Each petal/leaf was hand scored and slightly sculptured for interest and then ink distressed around the edges. My center to emulate the berries is done with flower soft, itÂ’s the only thing I could think of and I think it worked out okay.
-Spellbinder Frameabilities was used for the window frame, minus the embossing. I had a precut panel that was in the shape of four window panes so I punched two more panes and built my window.
-Lovely as a tree was stamped directly on the card front, sponging was done with my hand cut cloud template and glitter added to the ground snow.
-The grid scoring was done with the Scor Pal and I kept it off the scene area.
-After the card was finished I used the Pearl-Ex Spray Shimmer technique to add a glittery shine and the photo sure picked up every little dropÂ…I guess I had the lighting at just the right angle.
-For the inside I attached the Frameabilities left over and stamped with sentiment in the center. Just another way to use it all and not let anything go to waste, I often do this with the top note die too.

Well, Rox, if this isn't a Christmas card packed with punch--that poinsettia is drop-dead gorgeous and the framed window really sets it off! VERY creative and like that touch of Flower Soft too!
