There were some lovely designs and ideas on the Tracy Porter site that Stef chose for us today. As I am busy with visitors I went for an easy card. I liked the colour combination in THIS mug design, and I don't often use a lot of pink. As attested to by the fact that it didn't occur to me to mount it on a pink card base till after I'd already sponged it brown round the edges.
A2 card base, sponged with ColorBox Chalk Chestnut Roan round the edges. Then some DCWV Travel Stack and some embossed fancy green paper from Stamp Muse. I wrapped ribbon over the join, and added a small extra strip of the bamboo paper along the base. I added the flower from Embrace Life, stamped with Versafine Black and coloured with Tim Holtz DI Worn Lipstick. Added a pink gem in the centre and the two top corners, and some gold Liquid Pearls on the stamens. True to the inspiration I left the green space clean, though I may add a sentiment when the time comes to use this.
TFL.
Probably won't have much time to cruise the gallery till tomorrow - things like ironing a tablecloth for dinner are looming.

Sabrina, how cool is it that we both chose the same inspiration. I love how your flower looks. That rhinestone center is gorgeous. I wish I had thought of it. I love your embossed top. Great inspiration card. I hope you have a great time.

I love how you called this a 'simple' design I am a bit of a minimalist so I love the clean basic 'simple' designs. This card is beautiful! I was just looking at the Cuttlebug embossing template yesterday to purchase...I think you're card just talked me into it!
