The WT challenge today was to use two identical items - buttons, embellishments, images... Man, who'd have thought that could be hard. Thing is, I go for threes, and while I did think I could plead that three was two plus another one, that would not have been in the spirit of the challenge.
So in the end I went with this Penny Black butterfly on the grass from Inspired by Nature. I stamped the grass twice in different greens. Then I stamped the butterfly bodies with a dark blue marker. Then I chalked greens and blue into the background, distressed the edges and added Stickles to the butterfly bodies and Sakura Stardust clear to the antennae. I stamped the butterflies twice on white card with a Brilliance Peacock pad and cut out the wings. I added foam tape at the wing tips, and stuck them with glue to the card base at the bodies.
I added some little punched flowers - white card sponged lightly with Scattered Straw, and yellow watercolour centres. I mounted it on a pale grey card with sponged green edges. It still looked a bit unfinished, so before I stuck it down I added some green ribbon with a knot, and a little cream brad with a spot of yellow.
