Today we were to make something from Glenda Mosher's wonderful art gallery. I chose the spring tulip painting which is: http://glendamosher.blogspot.com/sea...&max-results=6
I started with Baroque Burgundy cs as the base. I sponged with Summer Sun, Only Orange and Baroque Burgundy ink all over the GP white cs. I then stamped itty bitty backgrounds with the Baroque Burgundy ink. I used various stem stamps from Springtime Stems and Watercolor Garden to stamp the stems and leaves with Old Olive ink. I then used Baroque Burgundy for the tulips, once on paper then on the stem. I went over again with the same ink but kept it darker. I then added a ribbon and tied a bow. This was a great challenge and it gave me the chance to bring out this old set.
Do you think I went overboard on the leaves?

This turned out great. I love the leaves. This was one of my first SU sets. My upline showed me how to make a bunny out of the large and small tulip. You used the leaf for the ears. Add a cotton ball for the tail. It is cute. Okay... that is way off the subject of your great card. This looks just like her painting. Great job.

Lovely tulips. They have inspired alot of stampers today and I just love your take on them as the others of course. It's just so great to see how we create something different yet all beautiful. Great card, lovely ribbon. TFS
