On Baja Breeze cardstock I stamped the Sleigh and Reindeer image with Blue Bayou ink, then ran it through my Big Kick using the Cuttlebug Winter House embossing folder.
I "colored" the rooftops with the Versamarker and heat embossed with Winter Wonderland opaque EP (by Stampendous). The houses were then colored with Pebbles Shimmer chalks using a brush point Fantastix, and the snow dots and chimney smoke with a white gel pen. I colored over the houses with the Versamarker to intensify the color and set the chalks. A light gray marker (Tombow N95) was used for a shadow effect around the houses, which I blended with a water brush. The windows on the houses were highlighted with the white gel pen.
I used a large stipple brush and Baja Breeze ink to darken the sky area above the chimney smoke. Blue Bayou was stippled on the uppermost part of the sky for more depth.
For the moon effect (spotlighting technique), the sleigh and reindeer image was stamped again with Blue Bayou ink on a piece of white cardstock. I punched out the reindeer with the 1 3/8 inch circle punch, then lined it up and glued it over the image on the Baja Breeze layer. DD glitter was added to the rooftops and the snow dots with the Quickie glue pen.
I embossed white cardstock with the Winter House folder. On the bottom section I stamped the sentiment from the Fancy Pants Blissful Season set with Blue Bayou ink, then cut it out and mounted it over the Baja Breeze layer.

Oh Linda, this is just too funny- only TODAY I just discovered and ordered this same Winter House embossing folder, with basically the same design idea in mind, but truly, it was BEFORE I saw YOUR really terrific version, honest! Must be GMTA!
Your colors are just fabulous (my kinda colors!) and I love what you did with the snow on the rooftops! All the extra shadowing and details make the card really special.
TFS, and a very happy, healthy, and creative New Year in 2010!
