Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Speckled Backgrounds.
Speedy the Cat and I have LOTS of Jewish friends. We hang out with 3 really great ladies who are constantly leaving me in fits of laughter.
So, for these ladies, I'm making BLUE HOLIDAY cards! Why? Because one of them once said, "You have Santa Clause, I have the Blue Frog!" She was joking, of course, and it was over a stuffed animal she had just bought for a child for Christmas, but YOU KNOW I tucked that tidbit away for today's card!
First, I rubbed a Baja Breeze pad onto Glossy Card Stock. Next, I rubbed a Pacific Point pad on and AROUND the Baja Breeze. Then, I SPRAYED "Greases Lightening" onto the inks. The chemical left circles and bubbles on the colors, making a paper that looked like FROG SKIN! So....Out came this set! LOL!
I stamped the image in Noir Black Palette Ink and colored with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirites.
The sentment is part of two sets..."Hoppy" is from So Hoppy. "Holidays" is from Christmas Favorites.
The snowflakes were gold. I pressed them into a VersaMark pad and embossed them in Silver.

I love this!! I love how the background came out and your pinked circles! I will have to resort to Greased Lightning too. DH said we had Simple Green in the garage...I looked and looked and told him we didn't have any. He came out and said here it is and pulls out a big jug of green car washing stuff. I love to be right...it happens so rarely...LOL.
