Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Basic Gray, Certainly Celery, and Pacific Point.
Yesterday I was running around trying to get things done, and neglected to make a card with this stamp set...Neglected? you may ask...YES! You see, Speedy the Cat has been dropping BIG hints in my lap the last few days...He WANTS me to use this birdie...The image is REALLY small, and he selects it and PUTS it places...Like the computer KEYBOARD!!! LOL!
The background started out as a Whisper White panel. I stamped snowflakes in Versa Mark and embossed them in white. Next, I dripped 1 drop of Pacific Point re-inker onto a plate and 15 drops of water then stirred it with a fork. I soaked up the diluted color with a paper towel and used it as an "ink Pad." I used a dauber on the paper towel ink pad and then sponged the color onto the White panel. Next, I used a DIFFERENT dauber to sponge on ink from the REAL Pacific point pad to get darker areas.
Next, I punched out a Certainly Celery Oak Leaf (Martha Stewart) and cut off areas to make it a TREE. (See yesterday's blog post for tutorial.) I sponged it and added Inkssentials pen snow!
The birdie and snowman were colored with re-inker and marker, cut out and adhered to the panel.
The Sticks came from my "Snowman Stick Arm" Tree in my garden!
