Hi! This card was made for today's Ways To Use It Challenge: Monograms....
This morning, several chip board letters were laying on the floor of my office....Okay....ALL my chip board pieces were on the floor of my office. I'm not quite sure if Speedy the Cat KNEW what today's challenge was, or if he just wanted me to use chip board! LOL!
Five years ago, my husband's nephew and his wife asked me to make a picture book of the alphabet for their soon to be born child. I did. However, they lost the baby, and tried for Many Many years to have another. Now, the little guy just turned 1 and I am sending a card each month that has a main letter and stamped animal/feature that starts with that letter. Then I add other items that could have DESCRIPTIVE words added.
On the inside of this card I put:
D is for:
Doe a Deer
Darling Daisy
Dazzling Dots
Dreaded snow DRIFTS
I traced the letter, cut it out and sponged around the edges. I adhered it to the chip board.
The deer is from Flourishes' new Sleigh Ride. I stamped the image and colored it with markers. I used an aqua painter to blend the colors. I cut it out, leaving off the flourished rack, to make her a DOE!

What a neat idea...My 2 1/2 yr old GD is really starting to learn the alphabet and they live about 3 hours away. She would love to get mail each week and this would be a super way to help her learn the alphabet at the same time. Thanks for sharing....
