This is for TLC188 Batik the colourwash way. Because I only have one mister and no reinkers or colourwash, I only tried it out as a background for my first attempt; now that I know that inks work well, I'll try again with a bolder image.
I used diluted J Herbin inks to spray my paper after I had stamped and embossed it with a background stamp from Aspects of Design. Because it came out with a wavy blue edge I thought it would make a good pond or river, so I stamped Pocket Silhouettes in brown and dark green along the edge. The dragonflies were stamped and embossed with gold, and then coloured with H2Os. Then I painted over them again with the iridescent colours, so if it weren't a dull grey day and just about to rain, there i real shimmer in the wings. The sentiment is from Think Happy Thoughts, done as Faux Metal, and with a brass Build A Brad filled with holographic card. The base card is gold shimmer, then a layer of light blue Bazzill Bling and then the batik.
Fun technique, thanks Lynn. Brings back memories of the smell of hot wax :-).

Sabrina, this is awesome. I love the green with the blue at the bottom. It really does look like a river with the riverbank. Your dragonflies are gorgeous.
