You brought us another winner this week Stef and thanks to justwritedesigns for the heads up on Frank Lloyd Wright's Arizona Biltmore Hotel; especially the incredible stained glass windows. Thanks for the inspiration. I am also putting this into the amazing fashion gallery this months dirty dozen has challenged us with...are YOU a fan club member...you will be so glad you did!
I decided to use my Rendre Belle from B Line Designs...she's on a weekend getaway to the desert. This hotel was built in 1929 when style and elegance were perhaps at their height. I stamped my girl onto GP white cs with Archival jet black and slightly embossed in clear. I colored with Copics and used the Spica clear glitter pen on her silk stockings. The image was cut placed on my main base. I photo printed one of the windows Stef had as an example to create the backdrop to my beauty. I embossed the larger black vertical bars for depth. My finishing touch is the sentiment stamped directly (TH di old paper) onto the SU river rock...one actually attributed to Frank Lloyd Wright. "THE TRICK IS TO GROW UP without getting old"
Thanks so much for the gift of your time in my gallery, I love to read your insightful comments. I'll be back later tonight to peruse the gallery and comment...I'm off to play, get a bit of teaching and fellowship with other artists!!! Have a great day

I just don't know where to begin! Again, you've created an art piece that is outstanding in every way! The images are perfectly set against the backdrop of the fantastic windows! Enjoy your day! Seeing this is certainly a highlight of mine!

Susan, I knew your card would be spectacular for this challenge and you didn't disappoint us. How clever and well-executed can you get. Love that young lady and her (ahem) outfit. Your understated sentiment, a quote from the man himself, just tops this all off.

Wow!! You truly are an artist Susan!! One look at this true to life looking design that so closely replicates Frank Lloyd Wright's piece..in fact, I am wondering if your avatar is a fake and you are Frank himself - or at least his, ah, granddaughter! Just gorgeous - and your darling elegant lady ( now - maybe SHE is the real you?? I rather think so! ) .. is just gorgeous - and oh so perfect for the scene!!
