I hate sympathy cards, but needed one for a co-worker. Her husband died and his favorite place was their cabin on the lake. It's a perfect reason to use the Watercolor wash technique. I usually use these stamps with a more intense brayered sky in darker colors, but this worked well. I washed on ruby, orange and marigold in the center and Bayou toward the edges. Coudn't find the right color for the trees, so inked in olive with some thyme on the edges, near the rocks and in the trees-not quite rock and roll. Ovals are cut with CM system. Card measures 5 by 7

You've created a beautiful scene with your gorgeous coloring! I'm sorry you needed a sympathy card, but I am sure this will bring comfort to your friend.

Very nice card!! I'm sorry you had to make a sympathy card also - it kind of takes some of the joy out of the card. You did a really pretty job of watercoloring, and I like that crimping thing you used - makes it look like waves. Cool!!

This is so serene and soothing. What a lovely thought to do the cabin. I'm trying to order this set myself... love it!
