Thanks Emily for a stunning color challenge today! This is such a beautiful combination.
When I came across this stamp at Big Lots recently, I couldn't resist adding it to my sentiments! Don't know if this would apply to us creative artists...but who's got time to keep a journal when it's so much fun creating art? And I just had to use this Marilyn stamp from Viva Las Vegas. I inked her with Adirondack pitch black and colored with Copics. She is popped on foam. My sentiment is from Dawn Houser for Inkadinkadoo. Again I used Adirondack ink. All images (including the spiral pad by Graphic Rubber stamp) are stamped on GP white cs. I restamped the pen with TH di antique linen and embossed in clear. It is slightly popped onto the pad. I cuttled/nested the polka dot scalloped rectangle and then cut a larger mat in SU soft sky which was also embossed. I used a B Line cube for the eyelet twill trim directly to the Basic Grey paper. I added real eyelets for texture. My piece of lace is dyed with the TH di antique linen...as close to kraft as I have. I finished it off with a expoy button from MM and a bit of blue ribbon. The Basic Grey paper is cuttled with the CB diamond embossing folder. And then mounted onto unknow black cs.
I am so inspired by the lovely creations in the Fan Club this month...especially Kharmagirl's Marilyn...If you're not a member...you're missing out on some awesome talent...certainly WELL WORTH the price of supporting OUR community. Oh and by the way, there's a fabulous 7 minute You TUBE video on Marilyn Monroe's Wardrobe if you are interested. Thanks so much for reading this to the end and of course, please tell me what YOU think!

Susan, this is fabulous! I love the Marilyn image and the cool sentiment - it fits perfectly! The details here are spectacular! The lace trim, the real eyelets, the button, the ribbon - they all add so much to your wonderful composition! As always, you've matched your artwork with awesome papers! Thanks for sharing your creativity!
