Another cool sketch challenge, I was definitely challenged...I have one oval punch in my trick closet! I did put it to use for the semicircle though.
I picked up these new MME 29th Street Market papers the other day, hoping I would find some inspiration for Father's Day...love the colors and the names of the papers! I stamped the man from Crafty Secrets 'Favorite Fellas' set onto white GP cs in Heritage Ink timeless sepia. I colored him with Copics. The papers are Classic "Handsome" 5 o'Clock Shadow/Lumberjack Blue paper and Debonair Diamond/Classical Cream paper. I so enjoy working with double-sided papers. I stamped Dad's crown on the back of 5 o'Clock Shadow and embossed in Midas Platinum powder. The crown is popped on foam mounting squares. I added a stickle cufflink to the shirt sleeve. The sentiment is again from the set and embossed in clear ep. I hand cut the scallop mat, I wanted to showcase that gorgeous paper.
Thanks so much for looking, what do you think of my favorite fella?

Great retro card, and love the crown. Great job with the sketch too.... I like the extra paper layers. Takes some emphasis off of the side circles but doesn't make them disappear either. Great job! L

That is one dashing devil of a husband you've got Susan.. but do you really want to enourage him in the king of the castle direction?? Don't they go that way on their own without any prompting from us???? Fabulous card Susan - I just love those crafty secrets images - so retro and fun! The paper is perfect too - great job!
